European stocks experience collective gains amid better performance of the services sector.

European stock indices opened Monday's session with collective gains, except for the British index, coinciding with the release of final readings for the PMI indices of the services sectors in Eurozone countries, which came in better than initial estimates.

During today’s session, the performance of the main European stock indices was as follows:

  • The Euro Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.21% to record 509.26 points.
  • The French CAC 40 index increased by 0.68% to 7,332.02 points.
  • The German DAX index rose by 0.38%, reaching 19,982.19 points.
  • The British FTSE 100 index declined by 0.19% to 8,208.65 points.
  • The Italian FTSE MIB index increased by approximately 0.44% to 34,276.42 points.
  • The Spanish IBEX 35 index remained stable at 11,645.30 points.

Regarding the sector indices in the Eurozone, gains in the Euro Stoxx were led by the technology and automotive sectors, with sector indices rising by 1.5% and 1.34% respectively.

In terms of individual stock trading, shares of Finnish fuel producer Neste led the session's gains in the Euro Stoxx 600, rising by about 5% after announcing last week that it had signed its largest contract ever for the supply of sustainable aviation fuel.
