European stocks are down on the last full trading day of 2024.

European stock markets ended trading on Monday in the red, with the Euro Stoxx 600 index falling to 504.85 points, reflecting cautious sentiments ahead of the year-end. Markets in Japan, South Korea, and Germany will remain closed on Tuesday, while trading hours will vary globally.

At the close of the European stock session today, the main indices settled at the following levels:

• The German DAX index lost about 75.18 points, settling at 19,909.14 points.
• The French CAC 40 index remained at 7,313.56 points, with a decline of 0.57%.
• The British FTSE 100 index settled near 8,121.01 points, dropping approximately 0.35%.

Meanwhile, the Italian FTSE MIB index and the Spanish Ibex closed at their previous levels, near 34,186.18 and 11,536.80 points, respectively.
