The Saudi stock market index closed on Monday with an increase, as the general index (TASI) ended the session up about 99.42 points to reach 11,948.79 points, maintaining its trading below the 12,000 level for the fifth consecutive session. The trading volume today amounted to approximately 194.5 million shares, valued at around 4.9 billion Saudi Riyals, executed through 545.2 thousand transactions.
Regarding today’s trading of Saudi stocks, shares of companies such as Al-Zamil Industrial, Saudi Re, Medgulf Insurance, Red Sea, and Kingdom were among the highest gainers during the transactions. Meanwhile, shares of National Education, Al-Drees, Riyadh Cement, Walaa, and MBC Group were the biggest decliners, with the increase and decrease percentages ranging between 4.31% and 3.17% in the Saudi stock market.
Additionally, the index for the parallel stock market (Nomu) closed today down by approximately 285.18 points at a level of 30,953.11 points, with a trading volume of 54.2 million Saudi Riyals. The trading volume for shares in the parallel stock market amounted to about 3.2 million shares, executed through 4,730 transactions.
As for the performance of companies in the Saudi stock indices today, the main TASI index saw an increase in 111 companies at the close, while shares of 117 companies declined. At the same time, the index for the parallel Saudi stock market witnessed an increase in the shares of 32 companies and a decrease in the shares of 51 companies during the transactions, up until the close of the session.
