U.S. stock index futures rose slightly during pre-opening trading on Wednesday, with anticipation of the Federal Reserve's decision on monetary policy.
The following levels were recorded for the futures indices:
- Dow Jones Industrial Average futures Dow Jones increased by about 0.17%, settling near approximately 43,549.00 points.
- Nasdaq futures Nasdaq 100 rose marginally by about 0.11%, reaching 22,039.00 points.
- S&P 500 futures S&P 500 recorded an increase of about 10 points, reaching 6,063.75 points.
It is worth noting that U.S. stocks closed sharply lower yesterday, Tuesday, with all major indices declining. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 267.58 points, closing at 43,449.90 points.
Additionally, the S&P 500 index declined to 6,050.61 points, down by 0.39%, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped by 0.43%, recording 22,001.09 points.
