The Nasdaq leads the rise of U.S. stocks after the market opened.
U.S. stocks experienced a clear increase following the opening of the session on Wednesday, led by the technology index; the performance of the benchmark indices was as follows:
- The S&P 500 index rose significantly by about 0.66% to reach 6,074.65 points.
- The Nasdaq Composite index decreased by 1.18%, approximately 232.25 points, to record a level of 19,919.49 points.
- The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 19 points, to 44,267.17 points.
It is worth noting that U.S. stocks closed the session yesterday, Tuesday, with a strong decline across all benchmark indices, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by 154.10 points, closing at 44,247.83 points.
Meanwhile, the S&P 500 index recorded a level of 6,034.91 points, with a decrease of 0.30%, while the Nasdaq Composite index increased by 0.34%, reaching 21,368.18 points.
