Saudi Stock Market Experiences Sharp 2.8% Decline: Top Gainers, Losers

The Saudi market's general index (TASI) ended the week with a significant decline of 2.8%, closing at 11,791 points, marking its largest drop in a month and a half. The market capitalization of stocks fell to approximately 10.13 trillion Saudi Riyals.

Total trading value reached 35.9 billion Riyals, with 2.8 billion shares exchanged through 2.4 million transactions. Saudi Cables Company led the gainers with a 15.4% increase, while Al-Babtain Company saw the largest decline, dropping 14.5%. Al-Khorayef followed with a 13% loss, and ACWA Power saw a decrease of 11.3%.

Regarding trading value, STC shares topped the list, with transactions worth 5.3 billion Riyals, followed by Aramco with 2.6 billion Riyals. In terms of trading volume, Al-Baha led the week for the second consecutive time, with 1.4 billion shares traded.

The banking sector experienced predominantly negative performance, with Al-Rajhi Bank shares falling by 2.6% and Al-Awwal Bank shares declining by 7.8%. On the other hand, National Bank shares saw a modest increase of 1.07%.
