Saudi stocks continue to decline for the fifth session, and the TASI index closes at its lowest level since October 7.
The Saudi stock market index closed lower at the end of trading on Thursday, marking the fifth consecutive session of decline. The main index (TASI) ended the session down by about 139.27 points at the level of 11,791.18 points, which is its lowest level since October 7. The index suffered weekly losses of approximately 339.95 points, the largest in seven weeks. Today’s trading volume was around 544.2 million shares, with an estimated value of about 11.1 billion Saudi riyals, executed through 504.4 thousand transactions.
Regarding the trading of Saudi stocks today, the shares of Saudi Cables, Brighter, Arab Mills, Naseej, and Real Estate were the highest gainers during the transactions, while the shares of Chemical Companies, Gulf Training, Red Sea, Astra Industrial, and Al Omran were the most affected by declines. The rates of increase and decrease ranged between 2.40% and 5.10% in the Saudi stock market transactions.
Additionally, the index of the Saudi parallel stock market (Nomu-Parallel Market) closed the session today up by about 262.18 points to the level of 29,467.71 points, with a trading volume of 91.5 million Saudi riyals. The volume of shares traded in the parallel stock market was about 6.3 million shares, executed through 6,223 transactions.
As for the performance of companies in the Saudi stock indices today, the TASI index recorded an increase for 51 companies at the close, while the shares of 182 companies declined. Simultaneously, the Saudi Index for the parallel market saw an increase in shares of 33 companies and a decrease in shares of 48 companies during the transactions, until the session closed.
