In a statement published on the Saudi Stock Exchange platform on Tuesday, the platform announced the suspension of trading on the shares of Eastern Province Development Company, due to the company's failure to disclose its financial results and financial statements for the third quarter of 2024 within the regulatory timeframe specified in the rules for securities offerings and continuous obligations issued by the Saudi Capital Market Authority.
The Saudi Capital Market Authority explained that it took the step to suspend trading on the shares of Eastern Province Development Company on Tuesday based on the powers granted to it as outlined in the listing rules regarding the suspension of trading on company stocks.
The authority added that trading on the shares of Eastern Province Development Company will resume for another 20 trading sessions starting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13, stating that the company must publish its financial statements before the close of trading on Tuesday, December 10.
In the event that Eastern Province Development Company fails to publish its financial statements within the specified timeframe, the authority will reinstate the suspension of trading on the company's shares starting Wednesday, December 11, and trading on the stock will only resume after the company announces its financial statements.
