U.S. stocks hit record levels at the market open.
U.S. stocks recorded a strong rise, achieving new record levels at the opening of the first session of the week on Monday, as anticipation builds for the release of U.S. inflation data for October this week.
The performance of U.S. stock indices following the opening was as follows:
- The S&P 500 index rose by about 0.31% to reach 6,014.16 points.
- The Nasdaq Composite index clearly increased by 66.39 points, recording a level of 19,353.17 points.
- The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by about 339.89 points, reaching 44,328.88 points.
It is noteworthy that U.S. stocks closed last Friday's session up across all major indices, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumping by 0.59%, closing at 43,988.99 points.
Similarly, the S&P 500 index recorded a level of 5,995.54 points, with an increase of 0.38%, while the Nasdaq Composite rose marginally by 0.07%, reaching 21,117.18 points.
