European stocks start today's session with a strong increase.

Most European stock indices rose following the opening of the session on Wednesday, coinciding with Republican Donald Trump's victory in the presidency of the United States, according to the latest preliminary results that showed Trump ahead according to Fox News predictions, as the Republican candidate secured the majority of votes needed to become the U.S. president for a second time.

Following the opening of U.S. stocks, the main indices recorded the following levels:

• The German DAX index rose by approximately 157.31 points to record 19,410.75 points.
• The French CAC 40 index settled at 7,531.23 points, with an increase of 1.68%.
• The British FTSE 100 index recorded nearly 8,279.37 points, rising by about 1.31%.
• The Italian FTSE MIB index recorded 36,626.81 points, rising by about 1.31%.
