Tesla car sales in China fell by 5.3% in October.
A report released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) on Monday indicated that sales of the leading electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, produced in China, experienced a decline of 5.3% compared to the same month last year, reaching 68,280 units in October.
Tesla's sales of electric vehicles made in China had seen a significant increase of 19.2% year-on-year in September, with deliveries of the Model 3 and Model Y also recording a growth of 1.9% compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, deliveries of competing passenger cars from BYD Auto Co reached 500,526 units, registering an annual growth of 66.2%. The national association also reported that sales of new energy vehicles in China increased by 58 million units year-on-year during October.
In the U.S. market today, Tesla's stock (NasdaqGS: TSLA) fell by about 1.29%, trading close to the level of $245.77.
