The performance of U.S. stock index futures varied significantly during pre-opening trading on Wednesday, as investors awaited the release of U.S. economic growth data. The futures for the benchmark indexes recorded the following levels before the opening:
- Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded a level of approximately 42,329.00 points, down about 118.00 points, a decline of 0.28%.
- Futures for the Nasdaq 100 rose by about 0.14 points, reaching a level of 20,725.75 points.
- Futures for the S&P 500 increased slightly by around 0.09%, reaching 5,876.00 points.
It is worth noting that U.S. stocks closed yesterday, Tuesday, with a clear divergence among all benchmark indexes, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost about 154.52 points, closing at 42,233.05 points.
Moreover, the S&P 500 stabilized at 5,832.92 points, marking an increase of 0.16%, while the Nasdaq Composite jumped by 0.98%, or 199.58 points, to record 20,550.65 points.
