U.S. stock index futures are declining ahead of market opening.
Futures contracts for US stock indices clearly declined during pre-opening trading on Wednesday, with the futures contracts for the key indices recording the following levels:
- Dow Jones Industrial Average futures contracts registered approximately 42,995.00 points, losing about 174.00 points.
- Nasdaq 100 futures contracts stabilized near the level of 20,485.00 points, declining by about 57.00 points.
- S&P 500 futures contracts fell by about 0.17% to reach 5,882.25 points.
It is worth noting that US stocks closed yesterday's session on Tuesday with a noticeable divergence among the key indices, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average settled near its previous closing level at 42,924.89 points.
The S&P 500 index remained at 5,851.20 points, down slightly by 0.05%, while the Nasdaq composite index rose by about 22.17 points, recording 20,383.64 points.
