U.S. stock index futures are falling ahead of the market opening.
Futures contracts for U.S. stock indices recorded a sharp decline during pre-opening trading on Tuesday, with the futures contracts for the benchmark indices showing the following levels:
- Dow Jones Industrial Average futures settled near the level of approximately 42,986.00 points, marking a decline of 191.00 points.
- Nasdaq 100 futures settled near the level of 20,406.00 points, losing about 113.50 points.
- S&P 500 futures fell by about 0.48% to register 5,868.00 points.
It is worth noting that U.S. stocks closed yesterday's session on Monday with a sharp divergence among the benchmark indices, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 344.31 points, reaching the level of 42,931.60 points.
The S&P 500 settled at the level of 5,853.98 points, down about 0.18%, while the Nasdaq Composite rose by 37.43 points to record 20,361.47 points.
