U.S. stock indices recorded a slight decline at the opening of the first session of the week on Monday, with the benchmark indices at the following levels at the session's opening:

• The S&P 500 index recorded a level of 5,858.85 points, with a decrease of 0.10%.
• The Nasdaq Composite index dropped marginally by about 0.03%, reaching 18,483.71 points.
• The Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded a decrease of approximately 0.10%, reaching 43,230.53 points.

It is noteworthy that U.S. stocks closed last week's session, on Friday, with gains across all benchmark indices, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose marginally by about 0.09% to reach 43,275.91 points.

The S&P 500 index settled at 5,864.67 points, rising by about 0.40%, while the Nasdaq Composite index increased by 133.62 points to record 20,324.04 points.
