A strong opening for the US stock session today.

U.S. stock indices recorded a strong opening for Thursday's session, supported by a growth in U.S. retail sales that exceeded expectations, alongside a recovery in the manufacturing index for Pennsylvania.

The benchmark indices recorded the following levels after the market opened:

• The S&P 500 index recorded a level of 5,873.91 points, with an increase of 0.54%.
• The Nasdaq Composite index rose by 160.31 points, reaching 18,527.38 points.
• The Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded a level of 43,253.01 points, jumping by approximately 175.31 points or 0.87%.

U.S. stocks had closed Wednesday's session with mixed gains across all benchmark indices, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped by 337.28 points by the close, reaching 43,077.70 points.

At the close of trading, the S&P 500 rose by 0.47% to 5,842.47 points, while the Nasdaq Composite index recorded marginal gains of 0.07%, facing strong selling pressure on tech stocks, particularly with the decline of chip manufacturing giant ASML, ending at 20,174.05 points.
