BMW's global sales drop by 13% in the third quarter.

The famous German car manufacturer "BMW" Bayerische Motoren Werke AG announced on Thursday morning that its global sales have decreased by about 13% during the third quarter of 2024, compared to the same quarter last year.

According to data released by the company, BMW's sales reached 540,882 vehicles. The report also indicated that the German automaker sold 1,754,158 vehicles during the first nine months of 2024, a decrease of 4.5% compared to the same period last year.

On a positive note, BMW reported that its total electric vehicle sales surged by 10.1% in the third quarter, reaching 103,440 vehicles. During the first three quarters of the year, the number of electric vehicles delivered by BMW increased by about 19.1% year-on-year, with deliveries during this period totaling 294,054 electric models.

Regarding specific regions, BMW's total car sales decreased by 1% in Europe during the third quarter, about 9.2% in the United States, and approximately 29.8% in China. However, sales in Europe increased by 1.4% from January to September, while deliveries in the United States and China fell by 2.1% and 13.1%, respectively.
