US stock index futures are falling ahead of the market opening.

U.S. stock index futures fell during pre-opening trading on Wednesday, as markets awaited the release of the minutes from the Federal Reserve's September meeting.

Before the market opening, the futures for the following benchmark indices recorded the following levels:

  • Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell by about 0.20% to approximately 42,290.00 points.
  • Nasdaq 100 futures rose by about 0.25%, or 49.75 points, reaching 20,248.75 points.
  • S&P 500 futures declined by 0.19% to 5,789.50 points.

It is worth noting that U.S. stocks closed on Tuesday with strong gains across all major indices, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped by 126.13 points, finishing the session at 42,080.37 points.

By the end of Tuesday's session, the S&P 500 recorded a gain of 0.97% to 5,751.13 points, while the Nasdaq Composite saw a sharp increase of 307.04 points, reaching 20,107.78 points.
