U.S. stocks register a decline following the opening of the first session of the week.

U.S. stock indices recorded a sharp decline at the opening of the first trading session of the week on Monday, with the benchmark indices showing the following levels after 12 minutes of the opening:

• The S&P 500 index recorded a level of 5,732.98 points, with a decrease of 0.31%.
• The Nasdaq Composite index fell by about 0.45%, losing approximately 81.24 points, to reach 18,056.61 points.
• The Dow Jones Industrial Average stabilized near the level of 42,250.54 points, losing about 102.21 points after the opening.

The U.S. stock market ended last week's trading with a significant rise in all benchmark indices, as the Dow Jones rose by 341.16 points to settle at 42,352.75 after the closing of the U.S. market.

Additionally, the S&P 500 index finished the previous session up by 0.81%, closing trading at 5,751.06 points, while the Nasdaq technology index jumped to record 20,035.02 points by the end of last week's trading.
