Wall Street witnesses a strong opening for the American stock session today.

U.S. stock indices rose sharply at the opening of the last session of the week on Friday, benefiting from stronger-than-expected labor market data, which showed a decrease in the unemployment rate from 4.2% to 4.1% in September, sparking optimism about the strength of the U.S. economy.

After the session opened, 10 minutes later, the benchmark indices recorded the following levels:

• The S&P 500 index settled at 5,741.78 points, up by 0.73%.
• The Nasdaq Composite index rose by about 1.13%, or around 200 points, to 18,121.23 points.
• The Dow Jones Industrial Average settled near 42,265.68 points, recording a jump of 254.09 points.

It is worth mentioning that U.S. stocks closed the session on Thursday with a noticeable decline in the benchmark indices, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by 184 points at the end of the session to 42,011.59 points.

By the end of yesterday's session, the S&P 500 index incurred losses of 0.17%, settling at 5,699.94 points, while the Nasdaq Composite index remained slightly up by 0.04% at 17,918.47 points.
