Urgent.. Positive data from the ISM Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index in the United States!

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) released today, Friday, the Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data for December, which showed positive results that exceeded market expectations. The index recorded 49.3 points, surpassing the expectations that indicated 48.2 points, achieving a notable improvement compared to the previous reading of 48.4 points in November.

On the other hand, the Manufacturing PMI price index issued by the institute recorded a negative reading of 52.5 points in December, exceeding expectations that anticipated it to record 51.5 points, while the previous reading for November was 50.3 points.

This index relies on comprehensive surveys of more than 600 purchasing managers, aiming to measure the relative level of business conditions in areas such as employment, production, new orders, pricing, as well as resource delivery and inventories.

It is known that this index significantly affects currency movements, as the news is considered positive for the currency if the actual value exceeds expectations, while it is deemed negative if it is below what was anticipated.
