Russian President Vladimir Putin predicted on Thursday that natural gas prices would rise in Europe due to the anticipated suspension of transport and transit through Ukrainian territory after the New Year.

According to Vladimir Putin, Ukraine's decision not to renew the gas transit contract with Russia, which is set to expire on January 1, 2025, aims to punish European countries.

Additionally, Putin stated that Russia is ready to continue supplying gas to Europe, pointing out that it is impossible to sign a new agreement with Kyiv just a few days before the New Year.

Moreover, the Russian President clarified that it is possible to send gas to Europe through Poland, stating that there is an active route that is unexplored and has no explosions; it is operational, you just need to press the button, and that’s it.
