One of the American cloud services companies establishes a regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia.
The American company Snowflake, specializing in cloud data storage, announced the expansion of its presence in the Middle East by establishing a new regional headquarters in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, according to a press release.
In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the new office is expected to meet the requirements for data creation and digital sovereignty in Saudi Arabia, allowing for data transactions within the country's borders.
In this context, Mohammed Al-Zouari, General Manager for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey at Snowflake, stated that the American company's expansion in Saudi Arabia marks an important step towards its commitment to supporting and empowering Saudi institutions to comply with local data regulations by providing faster, more efficient, secure, and consistent data solutions.
Al-Zouari further clarified that by deploying local data on the Google Cloud platform, organizations operating within Saudi Arabia can utilize a foundational data strategy for deeper data insights enhanced by artificial intelligence, thereby fostering innovation in business while adhering to the highest standards of data residency and digital sovereignty.
