Putin: Ready to engage in dialogue with Trump and enter negotiations with Ukraine.
During his speech at the annual year-end conference on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed his readiness for dialogue or discussions or to meet with the elected U.S. President Donald Trump at any time, emphasizing that he has not spoken with Trump in over four years.
Putin pointed out that Russia would not be in a weaker position if these talks were to take place with Trump, as his country has become much stronger over the past two or three years. He emphasized that the Russian administration will ensure that decisions related to it are made without considering the opinions of anyone from outside, based solely on what serves its national interests.
At the same time, Putin confirmed that Russia is ready to enter negotiations with Ukraine at any time to put an end to the ongoing war between the two countries, noting that the other party also needs to be open to talks in order to reach settlements.
