Data released by the UK Office for National Statistics on Tuesday morning showed positive labor market data in the UK during November.
According to the data, the number of new unemployment claims in the UK rose by about 0.3 thousand claims in October, which is better than expectations that indicated an increase of around 28.2 thousand claims, after a previous increase of 26.7 thousand claims was recorded in the previous October.
At the same time, the unemployment rate in the UK remained stable at 4.3% during the three months ending in October on a year-on-year basis, which was in line with market expectations, after the unemployment rate also stood at 4.3% in the three months ending in the previous September.
Additionally, the average wages in the UK, excluding bonuses, increased by 5.2% during the three months ending in October on a year-on-year basis, while the markets had anticipated a rise of 4.6%, after the previous reading for the quarter ending in September showed an increase of 4.3% in average wages.
