Chinese President: No one will win in a trade war.

Chinese President Xi Jinping stated on Tuesday morning that China has full confidence in achieving its economic growth target for this year, emphasizing that China will continue to play a larger role as the engine of global economic growth.

Additionally, the Chinese president noted that there will be no winners in trade wars, tariff wars, and technological wars, referring to potential Trump policies that may raise tariffs on U.S. imports from China.

Fitch Ratings has lowered its growth forecast for China's GDP for 2025 and 2026 to 4.3% and 4%, respectively, amid ongoing challenges facing the domestic economy in both internal and external contexts.

In this regard, Fitch analysts observed some positive indicators in the real estate sector, but they pointed out that the ongoing slowdown in the real estate market remains a major concern, which could hinder the stability needed for sustainable economic growth within China.
