During his talk on Monday, Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and son of the elected American President, Donald Trump, expressed optimism about the possibility of the United States becoming a global leader in cryptocurrency by establishing reasonable regulatory guidelines, as he stated.

Eric Trump also expressed his strong support for decentralized finance DeFi, adding that he sees the modern banking system as outdated, and pointing out that cryptocurrencies are ready to surpass it. This comes at a time when Bitcoin has been trading around the $100,000 mark, after breaking through it last week.

Eric Trump highlighted the urgent need for clear and transparent regulations for the cryptocurrency industry to be issued by regulators in the United States, noting that the sector only requires more guidance, not restrictions, amid growing interest from investors in cryptocurrencies under the new U.S. administration.

He emphasized that his father aims to make the United States the capital of cryptocurrency in the world, and mentioned plans to appoint Paul Atkins as the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, indicating a potential shift in cryptocurrency regulation away from the somewhat anti-industry approach adopted during the current president's term, Gary Gensler.

Additionally, Eric Trump praised Elon Musk as a key figure in shaping future policies, referring to him as the "Albert Einstein of the modern era." He also discussed plans to reduce government spending, loosen regulatory restrictions, and promote commercial innovation, emphasizing that Musk will play a pivotal role in these efforts.
