The Secretary-General of OPEC discusses the forecasts for crude oil demand.
Following the decision by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to postpone planned oil production increases until after December, Haitham Al Ghais, the Secretary General of the oil alliance, stated on Monday that there are some challenges, but the situation is not as negative as some portray it.
In addition, the Kuwaiti official mentioned that the global economy is doing well, explaining that the demand for crude oil has not yet peaked, and this will not happen, adding that the world continues to grow. Furthermore, Al Ghais expressed OPEC's highly positive outlook regarding the demand for crude oil, both in the short term and the long term.
These comments from Haitham Al Ghais come after OPEC's decision to delay the planned production increase in December over the weekend.
