Luis de Guindos, Vice President of the European Central Bank, stated in remarks issued on Monday that the end of the current monetary policy cycle in the eurozone - that is, easing policy - is uncertain, although he confirmed that a downward trend in interest rates is expected to continue in the coming months.

Furthermore, de Guindos emphasized that no one knows what the final outcome will be - that is, the final interest rate - but the path of the journey is relatively clear, whether expectations are met or not. However, he warned the Governor of the European Central Bank that increases in tariffs in the United States, proposed by the elected President Donald Trump, could lead to inflationary pressures in the eurozone.
